About
I am a holistic health care provider drawing from my extensive experience in chiropractic, neuroscience, cell physiology and nutrition. I have been integrating my wellness lifestyle, with yoga for the 30 plus years that I’ve been in practice. It is no coincidence that my yoga practice started at the same time I discovered chiropractic.
As a native of the Adirondack Mountains I grew up experiencing nature. Where my passion for nature and its intelligence evolved. I was driven and intrigued by natures’ wisdom. My dream was to become a research scientist and find a cure for cancer. During the course of my college career I experienced a major health crisis. This was my defining moment I relinquished my dream to discover my destiny.
My health crisis is what inspired me to turn my direction towards a holistic lifestyle and the art and science of holistic healing. I started seeing a chiropractor and practicing yoga regularly. I regained my health.
I realized it was time for me to change my direction. I relinquish my dream of being a scientist and finding a cure, to finding the truth and working with the innate intelligence of the body, “The doctor within.” It was at that point that I realized, Hippocrates, had it right. We all do have a doctor within. We just have to help it and its work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force to getting and staying well.
I have spent the majority of my life researching, experimenting, clinically and personally with this holistic approach of the body, mind, and spirit connection. My greatest joy is helping to connect my patients with their “Doctor within.” Restoring their health and vitality with our brainstem protocol and yoga teachings.
Steps of my path
- Associate degree biotechnology Bachelors degree biology/chemistry
- Doctorate of Chiropractic
- Practicing with my husband Dr. Joseph for 30+ years we have developed The Brainstem Protocol, together
- Serving over 1 million patients by our 18th year in practice
- Yoga: I have been studying and practicing yoga for almost 40 years my introduction to Kundalini yoga was in 1992.
- After the birth of my second son, I began researching other styles of yoga that incorporated more of the spine and nervous system and meditative practice. One late night evening while nurturing my newborn “night owl son” I found myself dialing to order a VHS tape on Kundalini yoga at one in the morning. Ravi Sigh answered my call and listened to my story and the next day sent me two VHS videos as a gift to the birth of my son. This connection ignited my passion and grew my library of over two dozen DVDs by Ana Brett and Ravi Singh.
- My most recent 200 hour Kundalini teacher training certification 3/2017
